  • We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
  • We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes with third parties.
  • We do not share your data with data brokers or similar entities.

5. What Is Our Stance on Third-Party Websites?

Our service may contain links to third-party websites, including job board postings, employer career pages, and other external resources. These links are provided for your convenience and reference only.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security measures, or data collection policies of any third-party websites. Each third-party website operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service, which may differ significantly from ours.

When you click on a link to a third-party website, you leave our platform and your interactions with that website are governed by that website's own policies. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of every website you visit before providing any personal information.

The inclusion of any link on our platform does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship of the linked website or its operator. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

6. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

We use a minimal set of cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our platform. We believe in data minimization and do not deploy unnecessary tracking technologies.

7. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?

MyJobsSearch offers the ability to sign in using third-party social provider accounts (such as Google) through our authentication provider. If you choose to register or log in using a social provider, we receive certain profile information from that provider.

The specific information we receive depends on the social provider you use and the privacy settings you have configured with that provider. Typically, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. Some providers may also share additional information such as your locale or account verification status.

We use the information received from social login providers solely for the purposes of creating your account, authenticating your identity, and populating your profile with basic information so you do not have to enter it manually.

We do not post to your social media accounts, access your social contacts, or request permissions beyond what is necessary for authentication. We recommend reviewing the privacy settings and policies of any social provider you use to sign in to understand what data they share with third-party applications.

If you wish to disconnect a social login, you can do so through your account settings or by contacting support@myjobssearch.com.

8. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Active Accounts

Your data is retained for the duration of your active account. This includes your resumes, job search data, application records, scoring configurations, and all other content you create within the platform.

After Account Cancellation

When you cancel your account, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for account recovery in case of accidental cancellation. After this 30-day period, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems. You may request earlier deletion by contacting support@myjobssearch.com.

Inactive Accounts

If your account shows no login activity for 12 consecutive months, we may send you a reminder email to the address on file. If no action is taken, we may archive your account data. Archived data can be restored by logging in again.

Anonymized and Aggregated Data

Anonymized and aggregated data that can no longer be associated with any individual may be retained indefinitely for analytics, product improvement, and research purposes.

Some data may be retained for longer periods if required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, including tax, accounting, or financial reporting obligations.

9. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We take the security of your personal information seriously and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols, ensuring your information cannot be intercepted during transmission.
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive data such as user-configured API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, an industry-standard symmetric encryption algorithm, before being stored in our database.
  • Row-level data isolation: Your data is strictly separated from other users' data at the database level. Every database query is scoped to your user identity, ensuring no cross-tenant data leakage can occur.
  • Password security: Passwords are managed entirely by our authentication provider and are never stored, processed, or accessible by MyJobsSearch directly.
  • Regular security reviews: We conduct periodic reviews of our security practices, infrastructure configuration, and access controls to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Principle of least privilege: Access to production systems and data is restricted to authorized personnel and service accounts on a need-to-know basis.

Despite our efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you become aware of any security breach or unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately at support@myjobssearch.com.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@myjobssearch.com and we will delete the data from our systems.

12. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

At this time, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.

If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we must follow, we will update this privacy policy and inform you of that practice in a revised version of this notice.
